Antigone, Interrupted
Ein Stück in englischer Sprache von Joan Clevillé

What do you do when the state becomes the oppressor? Would you put your body on the line? What is the value of disagreement in contemporary democracies?

On the line between dance, theater and story-telling, the piece follows a young woman who refuses the law and uses her body for what she believes in. Based on Greek myth and set against the background of current political uprisings, it explores how the (female) body can be both a target of oppression and a means of resistance. Surrounded by the audience, the dancer raises questions of commitment, vulnerability and interdependence.
